The Quilt

$650.00

Machine washed and line dried, already softened and ready for reading time. All quilts are hand stitched with repurposed natural fibre cloth. The middle batting is a combination of bamboo and cotton. Quilts are created sustainably, and new cloth is used as sparingly as possible.

106cm x 117cm

Inspired by the children’s book The Quilt by illustrator and author Valériane Leblond tells the story of an immigrant family who sell their possessions, except for a black and red quilt lovingly hand-made by the mother, to get to the USA at the turn of last century

The quilt represents love and memories that help the little girl overcome her home sickness and adapt to their new life. This book offers a message of hope - when things look bleak, remember that happy times will return.
